How can I create a report showing all income, not just business income?

I can see how generating a report showing all income, including business and personal, can benefit your business. However, the option to do so is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

As a workaround, I recommend using the Tag feature to tag your personal and business income. Then, you can generate a Tag Totals report to summarize all your income, including business and personal. I'll be right here to guide you through the process.

First, let's set up your tags. Here's how:

1. Log in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
2. Go to the gear icon at the top-right corner of your screen.
3. Under Tools, select Manage tags.

    

4. Click Create new group.

    

5. Enter a Group Name on the field.
6. Press Save.

    

Below the newly created tag group, add Personal income and Business income tags. You can do this by entering the Tag Name and clicking Add. Once done, press Done.

Afterward, let's go to the Transactions page. Here, you can tag your income transactions by clicking the tag icon under the Category and Tags column, choosing the appropriate tag for the transaction, and pressing Save.

Once you've tagged your transactions accordingly, head to the Reports page of your QuickBooks Self-Employed account. Then, adjust the date dropdown to the dates you want to pull up a report and click View. You will then see a report listing all of your income.
