How can I disable two step authentication for Quickbooks Online?

I've found many links which say to disable two step in your INTUIT account dashboard, which I have, but Quickbooks online continues to need a text code. It's very annoying. How can I disable the two step auth in QBO specifically?

How can I disable two step authentication for Quickbooks Online?

Hello Belaircomputerguy!

Yes, you can turn off the two-step verification in QuickBooks Online by visiting your Intuit account. Follow these steps:

  1. From the left menu, select Sign In & Security.
  2. In the “Two-step verification” section, select Turn off.
  3. Enter the code, then select Continue.

Though it's turned off, you may still be asked to enter a code. The reason is that the two-step verification is just an additional layer of security every time you access your account.

QuickBooks Online has multi-factor authentication. This protects your data where it requires a one-time confirmation code. This usually triggers when you log in to your account using a different browser, new device, or after clearing the cache and history. Currently, we're unable to turn this off.

Visit our Security Center to know more about how we guard customers' data.
