How can I generate a Report that show the invoices that had Late Fees added

Having a detailed report of invoices with late fees ensures better financial management, customer relations, and accurate record-keeping, rkramer40. I'd be glad to guide you through the process.

When you turn on the late fees feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO), the system automatically creates an income account to track the fees collected. This account is set up as an Other Income account type and named Late Fee. Let's pull up a report of the account to view the invoices with late fees added.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts
  2. Under the Filter by name search field, enter late fee income.
  3. From the result, click Run report under the ACTION column.

For more details on how late fees work in QBO, please check out this article: Apply late fees to overdue invoices automatically.

Moreover, you have the option to customize the report further. Please refer to this article to learn more about this process: Customizing reports.

We'll be around to help in any way that we can. Feel free to mention me in the comments if you need further help managing reports with late fees for invoices in QBO. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Stay safe.

How can I generate a Report that show the invoices that had Late Fees added

@AdonL  RE: We can pull up a Quick report of the account that will give us the data we need.

That report will not show, "the invoices that had Late Fees added". Did you even read the OP's question? It doesn't seem like it.

@rkramer40

Unfortunately I don't think there is such a report in QuickBooks. It probably isn't actually possible. This is because late fees, like finance charges, are added to the customer's account, not to individual invoices.
