Hello there, carol107.

I'm here to ensure you have a smooth experience with QuickBooks Online. Let's work together to save your backup and downgrade your QuickBooks version.

First off, please know that backing up and restoring company data is currently available in the QBO Advanced plan. Then, follow the steps below on how you can begin the process.

  1. Click the Gear icon ⚙ and choose Back up company.
  2. Select Add Company and choose the Search for a company ▼ dropdown menu. Then, select the company you want to back up.
  3. Choose Next, then Connect.
  4. Find the company you want to back up.
  5. Select the Action dropdown menu, then select Run full backup.

After that, you can now save your backups to Dropbox or Google Drive when you link your account.

Here’s how:

  1. Choose the Gear icon ⚙ and select Back up company.
  2. Choose the User menu.
  3. Select where you want to save your backup. Then, choose Link Google Drive or Link Dropbox.
  4. Follow the steps to allow QuickBooks to create backups.

You can refer to this article to see extra details: Back up and restore your QuickBooks Online Advanced Company.

Once done, you can check this article to see the detailed steps on how to downgrade your subscription: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online edition.

In case you need steps on how to see your subscription info and change your payment method, you can read this article: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

You can mention me in the comment section to let me know how it goes or if you have any follow-up questions about saving back data in QBO. I'm always here to help, carol107. Take care.

@carol107

You can convert your data to QB Desktop file and use the trial version to access your historical data for good.

Hello,

Here’s how you can save your data and ensure it’s accessible when needed:

1. QuickBooks Online allows you to export your data into formats like Excel or QuickBooks Desktop (QBD).

Navigate to the Gear Icon -> Export Data in your QBO account. Select the reports and data you want to save. Then download the files to your local storage or preferred backup location.

2. For exports or ongoing backups, you can also use third-party tools. They provide you with options to set up for export in more detail.

It can be Rewind or Skyvia. I use the last one because of its easier interface and functionality. You can find more information here (https://skyvia.com/connectors/quickbooks)
