How can transaction disappear and or no incorporated into a report that DID work, without the transactions being deleted?

I developed a report in January to track project cash flow, utilizing distribution accounts for obligated income vs materiel and labor expenses.  It worked very well.
Yesterday, I ran the report again, and the income and expenses are not in the report.  I was able to manually track the payments to the contractor, but only by the company name, not by distribution accounts, AND the scanned receipts are missing.  The project income is in a separate distribution account, but I have to look in the filtered register or journal for that - it also won't come up in the CAS's report

How can transaction disappear and or no incorporated into a report that DID work, without the transactions being deleted?

Hello, @Bill Skidmore.

I'm going to speak up and offer some potential ways to get the reports you want in QuickBooks Online.

Reporting issues are expected if data has been missing from your account. However, we can check the audit log to see if there are deleted transactions. Audit log monitor who made edits to your books and what they changed. Please log in as administrator to access this feature in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Audit Log.
  2. Select Filter.
  3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Choose View in the History column to open the audit history.

Once you discover the deleted transaction, we need re-enter the transaction to retrieve them.

Additionally, let's ensure to filter the correct date range, columns, and other details in accessing the reports. We can also refer to this article for your guide with customizing report in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, your browser may occasionally contain a lot of frequently used page resources, which could explain some odd responses. You can access QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can log into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in a private window (incognito). Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari

If you have any queries about customizing reports, let me know. I'm available whenever you need me for more help. Take care.

Checked and no evidence.

keep in mind the transactions exist in register and reports are structured to obtain it.  Tried with private web page and obtained the same result😫
