How do I adjust report printing so that it has margin on the edge of the page greater than 1/4 inch?

Journal report for a defined period prints (both PDF and to printer) with narrow margins.  These need to be wider to accommodate hole punching the paper.

How do I adjust report printing so that it has margin on the edge of the page greater than 1/4 inch?

Hi there, @ebreit.

I can see the importance of having reports that are formatted correctly and meet your specific requirements. I'm here to help you find a solution that meets your needs.

If you need to adjust the margins of a report in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to accommodate hole punching, one option is to download the report as a PDF and manually adjust the margins outside of QBO before printing. Here's how you can do that:

  1. Generate the report: Go to the Reports tab in QuickBooks Online and select the desired report, such as the Journal report for the defined period.
  2. Download the report as a PDF: Once the report is displayed on the screen, look for the option to download or export it as a PDF. This option is usually located in the top-right corner or under the report settings.
  3. Open the PDF file: Locate the downloaded PDF file on your computer and open it using a PDF viewer software, such as Adobe Acrobat or a web browser with built-in PDF viewing capabilities.
  4. Adjust the margins: Within the PDF viewer, you should have the option to adjust the margins before printing.

Furthermore, I would like you to review these guides for additional information on managing your reports. You can learn how to send them to your business partners and include specific data.
