How do I clear the app notifications and what are they notifications of?

The app shows 12 in the red circle on my Home Screen but when I open the app, I see no notifications or a place for these notifications.

I can help you with clearing those old notifications, @bstutzman.

 

You can clear QuickBooks Online's app data to refresh it and remove those notifications. 

 

Follow the steps below depending on what device you're using:

 

For Android: 

 

  1. From More Options, then select the Settings tab. 
  2. Choose the Refresh Data menu.
  3. Hit Yes

 

For iOS: 

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select Reset App Data.
  3. Click OK.

 

If refreshing the app doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to resolve unexpected behavior on mobile devices, and ensure updated security settings are downloaded.

How do I clear the app notifications and what are they notifications of?

When i go to the help section within the app, it loads help articles on the web and not within the app itself.  I don't see the reset/refresh app data that you are referring to anywhere in there. Am i missing a step or has this changed since the article you referenced was published?

Yes, you're correct. The steps to refresh app data have changed. The way to do this is through the settings of your device. From there, you'll be able to locate the app and then see the option to refresh the data. 

 

As for your notifications question, you would also need to go through the device's settings to get this handled.
