How do I create a local backup?

Thank you for checking with us today, driseling.

 

You can create your local company backup file by going to your Settings. And I can help you with that.

 

Beforehand, the steps we'll be performing are only available for QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced.

 

Let me show you how: 

 

  1. After routing to Settings, select Back up company
    Reminder: You might need to sign in with Intuit account, then choose Authorize to proceed.
  2. Select Add Company, then click the Search for a company dropdown menu, and select the company you want to back up.
  3. Choose Next, then Connect.
    -if you have multiple companies to back up, repeat steps 2 to 4.
  4. Find the company you want to back up.
  5. Choose the Action dropdown menu, then select Run a full backup.
