There isn’t a direct option to download a complete contractor list with addresses and tax information, Gwen.
As a workaround, you can generate a Vendor Contact List report. By default, this features contractors listed as vendors and their addresses. You'll just need to customize it to include the Track 1099 and Tax ID columns.
If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO), here's how you can proceed:
On the other hand, if you're using QBDT, follow the steps below:
If you have additional questions, feel free to click the Reply button.
Go to Expenses -> Vendors and click the gear icon on the right to customize columns. Make sure you’ve got the key fields checked, things like address, email, phone, and most importantly, Tax ID (if you’ve been tracking it). Then click the small export icon (looks like a box with an arrow) at the top right of the vendor list and export to Excel or CSV.
If you’ve marked someone as a 1099 contractor, you can also go to Payroll -> Contractors (or Expenses -> Vendors, filtered by 1099) to focus only on that group. That view doesn’t show everything, but it’s handy for tax-time exports. Still, for the most complete info including mailing address, the regular Vendor list works better.
One thing to double-check: some versions of QuickBooks hide Tax ID by default for privacy reasons, so if it’s blank in your export, it might not be stored in the system or needs permission tweaking.
