How do I email my CPA my QB Online files

Hello, ailey8904

Thank you for posting on the Community page. I'd love to help you with your concerns today.

Quickbooks Online doesn’t have the option to export a file that you can send your accountant. They can connect directly to your account when you give them access.

Here’s how you can do it.

  1. From the home screen, click on the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select the Manage Users tab.
  3. On the Manage Users page, select the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Click the Invite button.
  5. Enter your accountant’s information and click Save.

Your accountant will get an email with a link to your Quickbooks. Then, they can log in and start working on your books.

I’ve added this article as your reference on how to manage your accountant's users in Quickbooks Online.

Keep me notified through this post if you have more questions. I’ll be around to help. Have a good one!

How do I email my CPA my QB Online files

Hello @bailey8904,

Let me help share how you manage a user's access rights in QuickBooks Online.

Normally, the ability to invite a user and manage the list respectively can be done by the Master and Company Admin user. If you're not any of these user types, I'd recommend contacting them and let them invite your account for access and give you the access rights you need.

In the same manner, here's an article you can read to learn more about the user types and permissions: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.

On top of that, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Account Management for QuickBooks Online.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know by leaving any comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.

Manage Users is grayed out.  Error Message - We're Sorry, don't have rights to view this data.  How do I obtain rights?
