How do I get rid of error when trying to upload transactions. It worked once but did not import all the dates and I have not been able to get a successful import since

Several factors could prevent the import process from being successful, @rhramber.

One of the most common reasons is the format, file size, and mapping. QuickBooks accepts CSV files in two specific formats:

  • 3-column format (Date, Description, Amount)
  • 4-column format (Date, Description, Credit, Debit)

Also, the file you're uploading should not exceed 1,000 rows. If your file is larger, split it into smaller sections and upload one at a time.

Another factor is the mapping. Ensure that the data in your file is correctly aligned with the fields in QuickBooks (e.g., making sure the columns for Date, Description, etc. are mapped appropriately). Double-check that everything matches accurately.

To learn more about how to structure the file, you can follow the instructions outlined in this article: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

Once you've verified and corrected these factors, upload the file again.
