How do I log into the payroll Quickbooks %2C I already set up for the free 30day trial%2C

I am trying to get back into the Quickbook payroll so I can sign some my employers up  with half checks and direct deposits and work on some of my business expenses and I need to know how to get back into the site so that I can start working on this soon as possible.

Thanks for choosing QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) as your payroll service, @Gwe2.

Let me show you how to log in to QBDT Payroll so you can start paying your employees with checks and direct deposits quickly and accurately.

We'll have to complete several tasks first before we get started. Let's begin activating your payroll subscription by entering the 16-digit service key you received in your email. To do that:

  1. From your QBDT account, go to Employees, select Payroll, and click Enter Payroll Service Key.
  2. Select Add and enter your service key.
  3. Click Next, and then Finish.
  4. When the Payroll Update message pops up, click OK.
  5. Verify if your payroll service status is Active and select OK.

Once done, let's connect your bank account so you can use direct deposit for your employees and we can pay and file your payroll taxes. Here's how:

  1. Let's gather your business and principal officer information, such as business legal name, address, and Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN).
  2. When completed, go to Employees and select My Payroll Service.
  3. Click Activate Assisted Payroll.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen and enter the necessary information in the application wizard.
  5. Create your payroll PIN. It should be 8-12 characters with only letters and numbers (no special characters).

For additional steps, please refer to this article: Get started with QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

I'm also adding a reference for you to set defaults for employees, pay stubs, and paychecks to help you manage your payroll: Set payroll preferences in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll. This way, you'll save time adding employees while staying compliant with paychecks.

Please don't hesitate to swing by the Community if you need further help logging into QBDT payroll. I'll be glad to assist you anytime. Stay safe!
