How do I merge multiple copies of the same user name? QB kept requiring a new log in for the same user and therefore I have 6 copies of the same user name.

QB kept requiring a new log in and password and therefore created six copies of the same user. Makes using the audit log frustrating because you have to select the correct user name (which they are all the same).

Hello userlance,

Nice to see you here in the QuickBooks Community! Let's start with removing the other 5 same user names. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks as the Admin or a user profile that has permission to manage users.
  2. Choose Settings ⚙ and click Manage users.
  3. Find the user you want to delete. Select the arrow icon in the Action column.
  4. Hit Delete and in the confirmation window, click Delete again.

For more information on how to manage users in QuickBooks Online, this article is very resourceful.

To narrow this down and find a solution for the problem, I would like you to test this in a different browser and see if you are still getting the same response. Also, is this happening only to that user?

I will be looking forward to your response. Take care and be safe.
