I can assist in restoring old backup company files of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), jody.
Before we start, please know that QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a cloud-based application that functions differently from QBDT. That said, the two applications operate differently from one another and have distinct features including its process of restoring data.
Since you don’t have a QBDT company, we can utilize an online tool where you can upload your .QBB file. That way, we can move these data to your QBO company file.
Let’s start by accessing the tool from this link: QuickBooks Pro/Premier. Then, select Get Started and sign in with your Intuit Account.
After that, upload your file by following the steps below:
Moreover, browse this article to learn more about how features and data moved to QBO. This helps you understand how your books were moved: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
The instructions above should get you to your goal of migrating your data from QBDT to QBO. If you have more queries about handling your data, you can ping me in this forum. I’m always around to help.
