How to Back up to a specific point and time??

Currently, the backup and restore company file is only available for QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced users. If you're subscribed to one, the program automatically backs up your data, as long as you've turned on the Online Backup and Restore app. 

If you've already done so and want to restore it from a specific point and time, you can follow the steps below.

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Back up Company. If prompted, sign in with your Intuit account and click Authorize.
2. Locate the company you want to restore a backup of. Under the Action dropdown, click Restore.
3. Set the Date and Time. Then, enter AGREE in the Ready to restore your backup? section.
4. Click Next. Follow the list of recommended actions if there are any. 
5. Select Refresh to continue.
6. Click Start Restore.

Please be aware that there are data you can't restore, such as budgets, inventory, tax rates with expense accounts, and data backup using the Local Backup feature. I'll share this article for the full information: Back up and restore your QuickBooks Online Advanced Company.

If you're not subscribed to QBO Advanced, I recommend searching for a compatible third-party app to back up and restore your data.

Additionally, you can import a spreadsheet of your products and services into QBO to save time entering them.

We are a very small business and I do not need an upgraded package. Quick Books boost of keeping ALL of our data safely online. They do not encourage us to back up our systems and then want to sell me an upgrade to access MY DATA I’m already paying them to store. This is not sitting right with me. I’m using Essentials if someone else has advice. 

I can see how important it is to have an option to back up your transaction in QuickBooks Online. Since the feature to process this method is currently unavailable in the Essentials version, let me provide an alternative way to achieve your goal.

Please know that QuickBooks can integrate with hundreds of apps. With this, you may find one by going to the Apps menu within the program. This way, it'll help you back up your data using the QuickBooks plan you're using.

Here's how:

1. From the left menu, choose Apps.
2. Go to the Find apps tab.
3. Enter the app name in the search bar or select the Browse category dropdown list menu to check out different apps.
4. Once you find the app, select its tile to see the reviews and pricing.
5. Select Get App Now to start the signup process.
6. Click Install, then authorize QuickBooks to share your data with the selected app.
7. Configure any sync preferences and choose Save & Sync.
