Let me share details about uploaded receipts, Pilgrimbrent.
We're unable to run a transaction with attachment or receipt details. Although, you can go to the Receipts tab to see all the uploaded receipts and what transactions they were attached to. Here's how:
I would also recommend sending a feature request about this directly to our engineers. You can submit feedback and product suggestions right from your QBO account. Here's how:

Can QB create an expense report which I can download as an Excel file, and there's a column with html links to the related documents which would be downloaded as a folder or something that the excel links would link to.
Otherwise, if I want to keep my supporting documentation directly linked to each expense, such as I have in QB when I have uploaded an attachment, the only way to keep them linked is to keep a QB online account for the rest of my life - correct?

Hello again, @Pilgrimbrent.
We're unable to process a transaction that includes attachments or receipt information. However, you may view all of the submitted receipts and the transactions to which they were related by going to the Receipts page. Here's how to do it:
In addition, you can keep supporting documentation linked to expenses by having an active QuickBooks Online subscription. In case the subscription is expired, you have read-only access to your QuickBooks Online data for one year after you cancel your subscription. Check out this article for more information: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?
I'd also suggest sending a feature request directly to our product engineers. To do that, follow the steps provided by @JenoP from the previous answer.
