How to run a Customer Transaction report with my Custom Dates? To include date,Name,Tax Rate,Tax Amt,Taxable Sale,Non Taxable Sale, Total Tax,Total Sales both Taxable&Non

I have the report you need, mdacimo.  Let me walk you through how to get a list of your customer transactions, including their essential details.

While there's no direct report that displays all the requested details (date, customer name, tax rate, tax amount, taxable or non-taxable sale, total tax, and total sales) in a single view, there's a workaround to achieve this.

We can pull up the Sales by Customer Detail to get the list of dates, customer names, tax rate, tax amount, and non or taxable sales.

Here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Hover over the Reports menu. Enter Transaction List by Customer in the search bar.
  2. Click Columns. Tick Sales price, Amount, Tax amount, Taxable, etc.
  3. Select your preferred date range.
  4. Once done, hit the X icon.

After generating the report, you can export it to Excel and manually calculate the total sales for both Taxable and Non-Taxable.

For additional reference, I'm adding these articles that will help you understand how QuickBooks computes sales taxes and how you can generate a report that displays your non-taxable and taxable sales.

I'll gladly assist you further in generating reports and managing your sales transactions. Tap the reply button below to enter any additional queries you may have. Have a good one, mdacimo!
