I am trying to inactivate a payment method

You can inactivate your payment method in your Intuit Account manager, Jenn.

 

A payment method can only be removed if it is not set as the current billing option for any of your Intuit products. Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to the Intuit Account Manager.
  2. Click on Payment methods.
  3. Find the payment method you want to deactivate, and select it to view more details.
  4. If it's the billing method for any Intuit products, you need to change the billing method for those products first by selecting Change payment method.
  5. Choose a different payment method from your account or add a new one by selecting + Add new. Then, choose Use this payment method.
  6. Once the payment method is no longer linked to any Intuit products, click Remove card next to the payment method name.

You can also set up a bank or credit card account that includes several subaccounts within the program.
