I am unable to access my 2023 1099 report on the portal.

Is there a reason my 2023 1099 report may not be available on the portal?

Hello there,

Let me provide you with insights about accessing your 1099 last 2023 in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

If your employee has already submitted their 2023 1099, you will receive an email notifying you that it is ready to view, once it has been accepted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). If you haven't received an email, it is possible that your employer did not submit the 1099. To clarify this, you can ask your employer about it.

Additionally, if you already received an email after your employer submitted the 1099 and you can't access it. There's a possibility that your browser has data issues. Let's try to troubleshoot this by logging in to your QBSE account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If this works, you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different supported browser.

Moreover, I'm adding this article to know how 1099 works in QBSE: File taxes when you have both 1099-MISC and W-2 income.

Return to this post if you have other concerns accessing your 1099 in QuickBooks Self-Employed. I'll be here to lend a hand.
