Are you trying to add a new customer or a new client under your QuickBooks Online for Accountant account?
If you're adding a new client as part of your QuickBooks Online for Accountant account, you'll to let your client add you as an accountant on their QuickBooks. Once you’re added, you’ll receive an email invitation. Follow the rest of the steps below:
Check your email.
Click Accept Invitation button on the email.
Choose the user ID associated with the new client.
Ensure to use your user ID in accessing your new client’s account.
Type in your password.
Click Accept Invite.
You can also perform the following troubleshooting steps to make sure that error is not browser-related:
Access to your QuickBooks Online account using an incognito or private browser. Kindly use either of the following shortcut keys:
Google Chrome, press CTRL + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL + Shift + P
Internet Explorer: press CTRL + Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift + N
If you’re able to able to access your account without being prompted to update your billing information, you may want to clear the cache of your regular web browsers.
