Before anything else, we'd like to thank you for allowing us to help you with your current situation. Upon checking here on our system, there's an ongoing investigation about can't access the Product and Services section inside QuickBooks Online (QBO). Our engineers know about it and are now working on a possible fix. We can point you to our Customer Care Team so they can get your details and add you to the list of affected users. You'll then receive an update once the fix is ready. We'll gladly write down the steps to get you going:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Select either tab to get started:
  • Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still Talk to a human.
  • Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.

With that in mind, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Online support team so that you can be included in the list of affected users. This will help our engineers assess the scope of the issue and keep you informed via email updates once it's resolved. Furthermore, please keep in mind that they only operate during specific hours, which are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PT on Saturdays.

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company on a web browser.
  2. Choose Help (?).
  3. Select either tab to get started:

I can't see product and service.

Its May 2024 and it appears an issue from October 2023 is not fixed with the product and service list. How is one to add a new item or edit an existing one? We have been stuck with not being able to do invoicing.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, @dradcliff1. I'll share some information about the error message you encountered when trying to open the products and services in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

 

There's a newly reported case about the inability to view, add, and edit products and services in QBO. Our engineers are currently working to fix this system issue as soon as possible. 

 

For now, I would recommend contacting our support team. They'll get your contact information securely and then add you to the list of affected users. This way, you'll be receiving email updates about this issue. 

 

Here's how to reach them: 

 

  1. Go to the Help icon located at the top-right corner of your screen.
  2. On the chat box, go to the Search tab.
  3. Click the Contact Us button below.
  4. In the Select a Topic screen, click on Ask about something else.
  5. In the box, input a brief explanation of the issue.
  6. Hit Continue, then choose the chat or phone option.
