I'm changing the structure of my business in May from sole prop to LLC. Am I able to have 2 qb self employed accounts under the same email as I transition the business?

Hoping to only need the two accounts for a few months until all finances are wrapped up with the Sole Proprietorship.

Good morning, liz-lizmarshallt.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out for support here in the Community. I'm happy to provide some info about your question for QuickBooks Self-Employed.

At this time, the QuickBooks Self-Employed platform only allows for one company and one email address per account. If you need two accounts you may consider signing up with a different email. If you decide to go this route, here's how you'd create a new account:

1. Go to the QuickBooks Self-Employed sign-in page.
2. Click Create account.
3. Enter the necessary info. Make sure to use a different email address.
4. Click Sign Up With Email.
5. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions.

This article provides additional info about getting started with QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please don't hesitate to drop a comment below if you have any other questions. I'll be here to lend a hand.

Thanks so much. Once I close my Sole Propietor QB account, will I be able to change the email on the new business account to my long-term business email?

Best,

Liz

You're welcome, liz-lizmarshallt!

When you close the Sole Proprietor QuickBooks account you'll be able to change the email address for the main Self-Employed account you'll be using. This can be done in a few steps. Here's how:

1. Sign into your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
2. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Intuit Account to open the Intuit Account Manager.
3. Click the Sign-in & security menu.
4. Select the User ID, Email Address, or Password section to edit the email address.
5. Choose Save when you're finished.
