I need help deleting quickbooks checking account

I'm here to help you delete your checking account in QuickBooks, emdccllc@gmail.c.

If the checking account is linked to online banking, we'll have to disconnect it before deleting. I'd suggest reaching out to your accountant to ensure this change is right for you.

1. Go to Banking and then select the Banking tab.
2. Choose the account you want to delete, and then click its Edit icon.
3. Select Edit account info.
4. In the Account window, select Disconnect this account on save.
5. Click on Save and Close.

Once you're ready, here's how to delete your account:

1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Chart of accounts.
2. Find the checking account you want to delete.
3. Select the Action drop-down menu and then select Make inactive.

If the inactive account contains transactions, it'll remain in your company data including your reports. For more details, please see this article: Delete an Account on Your Chart of Accounts.
