I signed up my husband's company for Quickbooks Online with me as his accountant but I can't use the settings tool to switch to that company. How can I fix this?

My husband's email address is the Primary Admin and I am set as the accountant.  How can I make it to where I can switch companies with his company listed?  The other companies I have as clients are listed correctly.

I understand the importance of accessing your husband's company in QuickBooks Online (QBO), bnbookkeeping. I'm here to share insights about this.

Ensure that you are added as the accountant for all the companies if you wish to switch to another company under your husband.

Here's how:

  1. Log into the QuickBooks account.
  2. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Manage Users.
  3. Go to the Users or Accounting Firms tab.
  4. Enter your accountant's email address, then select Invite.

Once you've accepted the invitation, you can establish a password that matches the one for your QBO accountant. After completing this step, you'll be able to switch to your husband's account.

In addition, feel free to check out this article for detailed steps and information about managing users in QBO: Add and manage users in QuickBooks Online.

I've also included this helpful article to get a better view of the access and permissions you can provide when inviting a user: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know in the comments below if you have any additional questions about accessing your husband's company files in QBO. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.
