Well, this is strange, @KGLUANCH.
Let's open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) accountant account via a private or incognito browser. This way, we can see and check if this issue is caused by stored cache from the browser. Too much cache can cause unusual behavior and affect the views and performance of your QBO account.
To open a private or incognito window, you can follow these keyboard shortcuts:
If you're able to view the accountant tab via a private or incognito window, then you'll need to clear your browser cache. This will remove all the cache and helps your browser to function efficiently.

Hello,
Thanks for responding. I don't use QBO accountant version. I have QBO Essentials. I was told I could access my clients via that account for free. My client sent me an accountant link so that I could access her file. Should they be sending me another link that is not accounting? Or can you provide detail (including links) on how to access my client's files using Essentials not QBOA?
Thanks.
Open a QBO Accountant account for free with another email address. You should use it to manage your client account as accountant.
Let me join this thread so I can share details about accessing client files, KGLUANCH.
The best way to access the client file through the Essentials plan is to let them add you as another regular user, not an accountant. Please check this link to see the user types in QuickBooks Online: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.
Then, here's how they can add you:
Once done, you'll receive a new link you set up and confirm your login credentials. Please check this link for the detailed steps: Add and manage users in QuickBooks Online.
In addition, you'll want to accept the invitation to the accountant version. It won't charge you for using it.
Comment again below if you have more questions. Take care!
