Starting fresh with a new company file in QuickBooks depends on your subscription plan and the length of time you've been using QuickBooks, @tcampbell70.

If you subscribed to the Advanced, Plus, or Essentials plans, you can reset your account. This action will permanently erase all your data, and restoring it will not be possible.

If your QuickBooks Online account is less than 90 days old, follow these steps:

 - Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.

 - Open this link, or enter this web address in your browser.

 - Type Yes to confirm you want to delete your data, then select OK.

 - Choose your industry from the dropdown menu.

 - Select Create accounts based on my industry to help QuickBooks generate a relevant chart of accounts. Avoid selecting Create an empty chart of accounts unless you've checked with your accountant first.

 - Click Wipe data to erase your information.

Once the process is complete, you'll be able to start fresh and set QuickBooks up again.

If you have a Simple Start plan, or if your QBO account is more than 90 days old, resetting isn't available. Instead, you'll have to cancel your current account and then sign up for a new one. You can use the same business name and login information for the new account.
