I want to change back to the old invoice format?

Allow me to share some information regarding your concern about the old invoice format in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Chris.

I can see how important it is for you to have the previous invoice layout restored. However, only selected users can switch between different invoice styles.

If you're not using the Simple Start version, we can switch back to the old invoice experience and revert your invoice to the old layout. To do this, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the +New button.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. On the top-right corner, click the Old layout button.
  4. Tap the Switch layout
  5. Check the box for the necessary details, and then click Share feedback to switch.

Also, you'll want to get back to your old invoice template. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon on your Dashboards screen.
  2. Select Custom form styles.
  3. Choose your desired template.
  4. Click the Edit dropdown ▼ in the Action column.
  5. Select Make default.

If you don't have the option to switch between invoice styles, I'd recommend sending feedback so our Engineering Team can consider adding this feature in the next update. To do so, please click on the Gear icon and select Feedback located under Profile. Once there, enter your product comments and suggestions. Finally, click on Next to submit your feedback.
