Wishing you all the best!
This was the answer given in the help section. It is already turned off. This only helps with the two factor authorization of quickbooks, not with a particular bank. The bank turned off their requirement for the two step, but for some reason, quickbooks still requires it with Associated Bank.
Hi there, @marcy55. I'm here to provide additional info about Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In QBO, the MFA is a feature that provides you with options to receive codes for verification. This also works as two-step verification but won't ask you to confirm your identity when accessing the program. However, this may trigger if you're using a new device, browser, after clearing the cache, or a private window.
When you disable this feature, QBO might still requires confirming your identity to prevent unauthorized activities especially for Financial Institute connections.
Additionally, here's a helpful resource that you can access at any time for further guidance in navigating QBO: Learn about QuickBooks Online with how-to videos.
Please let me know how this goes and leave a reply below. I'm always here ready to lend a hand to ensure your goal is achieved. Have a good one and take care.
