Is it possible to delete all data (migrated from GoDaddy) from Quickbooks and start over using CSV files instead?

The migration from GoDaddy bookkeeping did not go smoothly and I would like to start over.

Is it possible to delete all data (migrated from GoDaddy) from Quickbooks and start over using CSV files instead?

Hello there, @june15.

I'll share some steps on how you can delete the data from your previous migration in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Yes, it's possible to delete all the imported data from GoDaddy and can start over. Here's how you can delete your transactions manually in the All Sales tab section:

  1. Go to the Sales menu, then select the All Sales tab.
  2. Locate your sales transactions.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow under the Action tab.
  4. Select Delete.

For your invoice transactions, you have the option to delete them by batch. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and choose the Invoice tab.
  2. Select all the transactions by placing a checkmark in the box icon.
  3. After that, click the Batch actions drop-down.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. Select Yes when prompted for confirmation.

After that, you can import your transactions by following this article: Import multiple invoices at once. The great thing about this article is that it outlines how to format the file and then walks you through the import process. Also, please keep in mind that this feature is exclusive to QBO Plus and Advanced subscriptions.

Additionally, I recommend reading the common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online for a complete list of what can be imported. It highlights what data can be imported, what order to do it in, and how to do it.

Please leave your comments below if you need further assistance when importing the CSV file. I am here to help. Have a great day!
