Thanks for becoming part of the Community, dclfcc.

When creating budgets, you can choose their intervals you want them to display in as Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly. If you'd like things broken down in a different way, you can create a new budget to display quarterly or yearly.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Gear icon, then go to Budgeting.
  2. Find your budget on the list.
  3. In the Options column, click View/Edit.
  4. Edit each account one month at a time.
  5. Specify your preferred time period, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly.
  6. Select Save or Save and close.

I've also included a detailed resource about working with budgets which may come in handy moving forward: Create & manage budgets

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Thursday!

Thanks, the budget is put in as yearly but if I run a report for only one month it does not show the annular budget amount it shows monthly. I would like the report to show the month(s) I am running and the percentage of the annual budget at that point in time. The desktop version was able to display the report that way.

For example if my annual budget for a line item is $1,200 and the beginning if the fiscal year is July and the actual is $300 it shows the budget as $100 because QB has divided the budget amount by 12.

I woukd like to see Juky actual as $300 with the budget $1,200 and the percentage based on the $1,200 (not $100).

While it's not possible to see the actual for July as $300 with a budget of $1,200 and a percentage based on $1,200 (not $100), I recommend submitting a feature request directly to our product developers. This way, they can evaluate the possibility of incorporating this in future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon⚙, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Once done, your valuable suggestion goes to our Product Development team to help improve your QBO experience. You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
