Yes we are having the same issue.
We were not made aware of this outage in advance. The only scheduled maintenance communicated by QuickBooks is not until August 30th at 8:00 AM, so today’s disruption feels both unexpected and unacceptable.
Our employees are panicking because their automatic payments will not clear their bank accounts today. This has already led to threats of not reporting to work, which directly impacts our ability to operate and fulfill jobs. In addition, employees are holding us responsible for any penalties or fees they may incur from missed or delayed payments.
This is not simply an inconvenience—it’s a serious financial and operational risk to our business. We need immediate clarity on:
When a fix will be implemented today.
What options we have in the meantime to ensure employees are paid.
Whether QuickBooks intends to compensate businesses for losses caused by this outage.
QuickBooks Payroll is a service we rely on to ensure trust and stability for our workforce. This situation undermines both. We urge QuickBooks to provide timely, transparent updates and solutions.

The system mainentance isn't scheduled until 8/30/2029?
Having the same issue.
We are also having the same issue and got no warning about their "Planned System Maintenance." I want the same questions answered someone else asked. When will it be fixed, why were we not informed in advance, and are they planning to compensate for losses. Somehow, their evasiveness in answers thus far probably says it all, since they are avoiding giving actual answers. They won't even join chats, and something tells me they won't return calls when that opens in 90 minutes. QuickBooks majorly dropped the ball on this one. And on a long holiday weekend no less. Probably should have waited until after banks closed today for "system maintenance."

Why when I called customer support did message say a 45-60 minute hold and it’s been OVER 2 hours so not only did our employees not get paid. we weren’t notified and now you just don’t answer the phone! WHEN WILL PAYCHECKS BE DEPOSITED? And who is paying any overdraft charges our employees get? You all???
