Hi there, bmg61162.
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Community. I'd be happy to provide some insight on your question about attaching a bank statement to the reconciliation report.
One option you may want to consider, is to print your reconciliation report. You could then staple it to the physical copy of your bank statement, and keep it on file for future reference.
At this time, there isn't an option to attach a copy of your bank statement to the reconciliation report. I think this is a great idea and can see how it would be beneficial to keep these related records together. I'll be sure to relay your suggestion to the Product Development Team to let them know you'd like to have this ability.

This would be an amazing feature, especially for those organizations that are paperless and/or have remote accountants. Thanks for suggesting it to product development!
I think it is a big shortcoming not to be able to attach a copy of the bank statement to the reconciliation report in QB Online. For years, we have followed that practice with other versions of Quicken. Similarly, does anyone know of an easy way, either IN QB-Online or with a plug-in, to attach a copy of a paid-invoice to a check?
I think it is a big shortcoming of QB Online not to be able to attach a copy of the bank statement to the Recon Report. We use Quicken for other accounts and we always make a zero-sum check entry called "Reconciliation" with a zero amount and, in there, we scan in a copy of the Recon Report with the bank statement. All in one place, and easy to find.
Also does anyone know of an easy way, in QB Online, to save a copy of the invoice we are paying when we write the check?
Hi @kaufmannrl,
As mentioned by my colleague @MorganB, the option to attach a statement to the reconciliation report is unavailable. You'll have to print the report and attached it to your statement.
On the other hand, if you're referring to attaching a bill to your check, you can use the bill payment option. Here's an awesome article for details: Enter and pay bills.
Also, your check transaction has an attachment option towards the bottom. You can add your bill or invoice an attachment.
Here's how:

I was having this issue also, I finally figured it out. When you are in the reconcile screen, if you have not set-up the import pdf statement, you should see a box right above the Watch Stuart's Video box. It's gone from my screen now because I just set it up. But I have attached an image showing were the box should be if you have not set it up yet. Once you enable this option, it should then show View Statements button on this page and also the Statement Column in the History By account screen.
This is available for QuickBooks Online Plus, Advanced, Accountant, and QuickBooks Live users.
