Is there a way to customize the footer on a report to add "No assurance provided" ?

Hello kathyharriscpa,

While we can't customize the footer section, you can export this report to Excel. Then, add the note and print the report from there.

Since we don't have an option to do it, I recommend sending it as a product suggestion. Please click on the Gear icon and select Feedback.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hi there, sb123.

As fo now, I'm unable to provide a time-frame as to when this option is available. Rest assured, this feedback has already sent to our Product Development team.

You may also want to check our blog to check for any new and updated features.

Feel free to get back to me if there's anything else that I can help. Keep safe!

I don't know when it was added, but I was just able to add a footer statement on a report.  At the top of the report click Edit Notes.  A box opens at the bottom where you can add a footer statement.  Hooray!!

It isn't available in QBO however, here is my easy workaround.

1) Customize your report to remove all footer fields and export file to PDF.

2) Open in Adobe Acrobat and go to Tools - Edit.

3) Select Header & Footer - Add.

4) In the Center Footer Field input your desired verbiage.  You may also want to change font details depending on your QBO Report Settings.2.png

5) At the top of the entry screen select save settings and name your setting whatever you prefer.  I use "QBO Financial Statements".3.png

Steps 4 & 5 will only be needed the first time in order to setup the template.  Once it is in Acrobat you can then select the saved footer after step 3 and it will automatically populate the other fields.  This template is user specific for Adobe and will be available to use on any reports.  The final template will look something like this...

Hope this helps!

Yes, this is an improvement but need to be able to add footer on each page of financial statements as currently it only prints on last page of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss if these statements end up being two pages.  Need for it to be an option to print on every page.  Also under Management Reports need option to print Header on Each Page, currently only prints name of Financial Statement.

I don't have option to edit notes at top of the report.  What version are you using?

This thread is from 2019, and the issue still has not been resolved. QuickBooks - please add a custom footer field to reports!

Thank you for joining this thread, kemokc.

We're constantly looking for ways to enhance QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience, so you can complete your accounting tasks smoothly.  I recommend sending feedback about adding a custom field in the footer section directly to our engineers. They review customers' suggestions for future updates and incorporate them to develop future enhancements.

Here's how:

  1. In your company, tap the Gear icon in the upper right and choose Feedback under Profile.
  2. Enter your product suggestions in the field box.
  3. Click Next to submit.

You can visit the QuickBooks Blog to keep in the loop about the latest releases and product updates. I've provided a link to a page with tools and information to help you build your business and manage your accounting activities on time: Community guide.

Feel free to visit the Community again if you have other QuickBooks-related concerns or questions about reports. I'll get back to help you, kemokc.

When you are editing a Management Report, click Advanced (bottom, middle) and you can add/edit the footer there as well!

With all due respect - this is why accountants are loath to move to the online version - the ONLY thing I can see that is beneficial to using it vs the desktop version is the ability for geographically separate people to work in the company.
