Thanks for visiting us here today, @michelle-dolan.

Currently, the option to run a profit report for all of your projects is unavailable. However, I have some workaround which you might find helpful. You can use the project summary page to view all your project's profits.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Projects tab.
  2. In the Project Summary page, tick the Printer icon beside the small Gear icon. This will open a new tab with each of your project, customer, income, cost, profit margin, and status.
  3. Click Print if you want to print or Save it as PDF. See attached image below.

Learn more about the project feature at these guides.

Additionally, feel free to browse this link if you need help with other tasks in QBO. It contains general topics with articles. Just browse for the topics that suit your concern.

Keep me posted if you still have questions or concerns with reports. I'm always here for you. Take care and have a great day ahead.

This is good, thanks for sharing.  It would be even better if we can add some columns (for instance estimated time versus actual time).  Can the QB team make a "custom report"?  Curious if this option is available, whether as part of the software or for additional fee.  Thanks

I hear you, @dzoyes1.

I admire you for sharing your thoughts and ideas with us about modifying the Profit & Loss reports.

Adding a column to your Profit and Loss reports isn't possible in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a way around, you may consider exporting it to MS Excel and adding some columns from there. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Search for and select your profit and loss report.
  3. At the top of the report, select the Export icon. 2.PNG
  4. Select Export to Excel.

Also, our product development team is always open to any suggestions that can help users like you in seamlessly run their business. With this, I suggest sending your feedback to them. This way, they can review it and might consider adding it in the feature updates.

In the meantime, you can also look for a third-party app that lets you customize your profit and loss reports. Just hover to the Apps menu and browse for an app from there. Once you've found one, click it and select Get app now to link to your account.

Additionally, I've added this link that you can read for reference in case you want to learn how to modify your reports in QBO: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Whenever you have other queries about reports in your QBO account, keep me in the loop by leaving a comment. I'll be more than happy to help you anytime. Keep safe and have a great weekend ahead!
