Is there a way to set up approval hierarchy for time tracking? I would like the supervisors to be able to approve time before it comes to me.

Setting up an approval hierarchy for time tracking is a good idea, Stephanie.

While, this feature is unavailable, you can update a user's role to either Payroll Manager or Custom so they can approve time tracking. Once time entries are approved, you can review the hours and lock all time data up to the specified report dates.

The Payroll Manager can view timesheets and approve timesheets for all team members. The Custom permissions are optional except Account Management. Then, you need to enable the option to view timesheet reports and approve or reject timesheets for all team members.

For more details, see this article: Manage team member settings and permissions in QuickBooks Time. Then, you can provide this article to your supervisor as their guide in managing time tracking: Approve, unapproved, and reject timesheets.

Once everything is ready, you can open this article that will guide you in running various reports tailored to your needs. It also includes guidance on running payroll, itemized totals, tracking reports, and more: Learn about QuickBooks Time reports.
