Join nowThank you for posting your concern about managing sales reports by customer zip code or city, @sean30. We're glad to share details about getting this report into our program.
We can understand the importance of keeping track of your sales in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The type of report you want to pull up is currently unavailable. However, you can run two reports and consolidate them in Excel. These reports are the Sales by Customer Detail and Customer Contact List report. Then, from the Columns section, add the Zip and City.

I have this issue also. I need to be able to run a report on sales by CITY without having to go through and add each customer to the report. It seems to be a pretty simple report that QBO should be able to handle easily.

I am here to share some details about report on sales by City in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Currently, running a sales report by City is unavailable in QBO. However, you can run the Customer Contact List report and Sales by Customer Detail report and then export these reports to combine them in Excel manually.
Furthermore, I recommend sending feedback to our product developers. This will guide our product engineers on how to improve existing features and develop new ones to meet the needs of our customers.
Here's how:
Additionally, I'm adding these articles as your reference for customizing and exporting reports in QBO:
