Thanks for reaching out to the Community, pctanner65. I understand that you need to realign checks in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll provide details below.
QuickBooks Online allows you to adjust the alignment of your check printing to ensure that the information prints correctly on your checks. This involves modifying the vertical and horizontal offset settings to align the text correctly on the check form.
For vendors check, here's how:
- Select + New.
- Choose Print Checks, then select Print Setup.
- Select your check type, then click No, and continue setup.
- Adjust the settings and grid according to your preferences.
- Select View Preview and Print Sample, then select Print.
- Follow the on-screen steps to finish printing your sample check.
- Put the sample print under a blank check to see if they align properly.
For employee paychecks, the printing alignment can be set up on the Payroll Settings page. Here’s how to do it:
- Click the Gear icon.
- Choose Payroll settings.
- Go to the Printing section, then select a check type.
- Click Align check, then follow the on-screen instructions to adjust the alignment.
- Hit Save when you're done.
