QB Accountant

Hi

I have a client company held under my QB Accountant practice subscription.

Due to the client company wanting to use 3rd part software that will integrate with QB, I want to remove the client from our practice and duplicate all data, but under a standalone account.

Is this possible?

They use QBO and the account is managed under your QBO Accountant account, correct? You just need to transfer the Primary Admin role to them.

It is a pleasure to see you at the Community, @Bec8.

Let me provide you some insights about removing you clients. If you remove the customer from your company billing account, they'll begin paying for their subscription on their own. Due to the fact that you will no longer be entitled to a discount, your heir subscription shall be charged at full retail price. It won't affect their accounting data in any way after doing so.

I'll provide you some steps in removing your clients:

Here's how:

  1. Click the Settings tab and you will be taken to Subscriptions and billing for QuickBooks Online Accountant.
  2. Choose the Your subscriptions or Accountant-billed subscriptions tab.
  3. Make sure you select the client that's to be removed. Note: If your client is currently offline, activate them first.
  4. From the Select action  dropdown, click Transfer billing to client.

They've read only access to their QuickBooks company after you've removed a client. They'll be able to view their accounting data, but they can't change it. Clients get full access once they update their billing info.
