QBO Add User

One of my new clients has been using a bookkeeper that is using QBO small business. The bookkeeper is saying that she can't add my client as a user because if she does then my client will be able to see all of her other businesses as well. My client is paying her own monthly fee for her file. I have QBO Accountant and have many businesses under mine, if I add a user then they can only see the file I add them to. I assume QBO small business works the same but before I tell my new client that I wanted to check. Thank you.

QBO Add User

Welcome aboard to the Community, @riley22.

When you say QBO Small Business, are you referring to the Self-Employed version of QuickBooks? Any additional information you can provide will help ensure a timely solution.

If yes, please know that the ability to add another user to view the account is currently unavailable. However, if you're referring to QuickBooks Online (QBO), whenever you add a user, he can only access the company file you add him to.

The access rights will depend on the type of permissions, such as company admin, limited user, time-tracking, and reports only. Additionally, I recommend the following resource which has video tutorials to help a user learn more about adding a new client: Add a new client in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
