SUMMER SAVINGS 90% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months* Ends June 27
Buy nowI've been trying to change my merchant account information for months now. I got a new number and cannot update my new phone number or banking information due to me having to jump through hoops with support. I have even started another case with support 2 WEEKS AGO to change my account phone number on my merchant account, and been having to wait days for email replies. Even then they closed my case twice due to "incorrect documents". It should not be this much of a hassle to change account information, especially when I already changed it on my self employed account, which apparently separate from the merchant account with the same login information. I will definitely be changing accounting softwares after this is resolved!

It's excellent that you understand the obvious. We are so relieved.
But then, I have to ask why has Intuit designed their service model in a way that creates roadblocks?
Appreciate the very subtle passive-aggressive energy — honestly, it captures the exact mood this support process brings out in people.
Glad we’re all on the same page: QuickBooks “understands” but somehow still built a system that feels like it was designed to wear customers down. Maybe next update they’ll let us update a phone number without needing a case file and a small miracle.

What resolution do you still need from them? You should immediately look for a third-party merchant service to sync with QBO. Then you can start exploring new accounting applications.
I’m just waiting for them to finally update my phone number and banking info on the merchant account. Once that’s done, I’ll definitely be exploring third-party options and alternative accounting platforms. This whole process made it clear I need something more reliable and flexible.
You can convert your data to QB Desktop and use the trial version to access your histroical data for good. Then you will start from scratch in a new program to lower your conversion costs.
Thanks!
