Any way to get a Transaction Report showing both Accounts and Classes?

It's nice to see you here in the Community forum, @houstonwb-elswor. Running transaction reports that show accounts and classes is quick and easy in QuickBooks Online. I'll provide the steps on how to run this report.

You'll want to pull up the Sales by Class Detail report. This shows sales, grouped by class. date, transaction type, product or service, quantity, rate, amount, accounts, and balance. From this report, you can filter it to show specific details that you need. I'll show you how to achieve it below:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Enter Sales by Class Detail in the search field.

  3. Click Customize.
  4. In the Rows/Columns, choose Class in the Group by drop-down.
  5. Then select Account and make the necessary customization
  6. Under the Filter section, click Distribution Account and choose All
  7. Click Run report.

You may want to check this article about running a report by class to review the transactions: Run reports by class. Here's an article made handy about modifying columns on the report: Customize and modify columns on reports.

I also have some additional articles about managing a wide range of reports in QBO:
