How do I see tax rates applied in the Sales Tax Liability Report and how can I correct errors?

It appears QB is applying the wrong tax rate for the State level and two of eight city line items. Have not had issues in previous months.

How do I see tax rates applied in the Sales Tax Liability Report and how can I correct errors?

Hi there, clintsflooring-g.

There's no option to add the tax rate used in the Sales Tax Liability report. Although, you can click the tax amount in the report. Then, it would give you a separate transaction report where you can see tax rate used on each of the transaction.

Please take note that QuickBooks uses the following details in calculating the tax:

  • Your customer's tax exempt status
  • Where you sell and where you ship
  • Your service or product's tax category
