How to reactivate a customer

Hi,

How do I reactivate a customer that has been deleted? I need to reactivate it because I also deleted a invoice associate with this customer but then QB created a credit memo which resulted in me having -$4700 in sales, which I can't fix. I need to restore the deleted customer so it can get fixed. I tried recreating the same customer, but that didn't seem to work.

Thanks,

How to reactivate a customer

I can help you reactivate a customer in QBO, @komatthew.

To reactivate a deleted customer, you can follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Sales tab and select Customers.
  3. Click on the small Settings icon.
  4. Scroll down and locate the Other section, then tick Include Inactive.

  5. Search and select the deleted customer.
  6. In the customer profile, click Make Active.

On the other hand, please note that a Credit Memo will created to adjust the customer's balance when you delete an invoice with an associated payment. The program has an automatic feature that ensures the accuracy of your customer's balance.

For future reference, you can check out this article to save customization on your desired report and use it for future needs: Memorize a report in QBO.

I'm always around if you need additional help with reactivating deleted customers. Take care.
