I do not like the Total Cost report in this QB software. My accounting is set up for categories listed on the Intuit report style. How do I customize the QB report?

I want the Total Cost report to be the same as the Intuit version was before I switched over. How do I customize the QB Total Cost version to give me the info I need?

Let's export the report to Excel, wmef.

By doing so, we can customize the report and view the information you'd like to see. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Search for and select the report you want to export.Capture.PNG
  3. At the top of the report, select the Export icon.
  4. Choose Export to Excel.Capture1.PNG
  5. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it.

If you’re missing data when you open the report in Excel, the file's in protected view. In Excel, you’ll need to select Enable Editing to view the full report.

Additionally, you can create custom reports in QuickBooks Online to get the data that matters to you most.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you in exporting reports. I'd be more than happy to assist you. Keep safe.

I do not like it either.  The Total Cost repot was much better in Intuit.
The total cost report in QB lacks Net, Deductions, and employee taxes.

I just posted about this.
