Hello jo-ann-eufrazio-,
Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community! If you have QuickBooks Online Advance, you can do this by following the steps below.
Please let me know if you have any other questions! My team and I will be happy to help.
I am in spreadsheet sync, have selected company group and profit and loss - multiple periods. Select filters - there is only a default filter available currently. Other filters available are cash/accrual and date range. If I select Jan-Sept, it only shows 1 column for each company, not individual columns for each month which is the info I need. Hoping you can continue to assist. Thank you.
I'll add some details so you can consolidate P&L reports by month for three companies, jo-ann.
To consolidate reports for each company, we can export each P&L report to Excel and manually combine each detail. Before exporting, ensure that the reports are filtered correctly within QBO so they show individual columns for each month.
To get started, generate a P&L report in each company and adjust the Report Period and Display columns by dropdown to Months:
Once you've exported each P&L report, you can edit and combine the reports.
Furthermore, you can save the current customization settings of a report so you can use it for future needs.
I'll be around to lend a hand with additional questions about consolidating reports. Have a productive day.
Thank you for sending the information. Still not working for me. Possible to schedule a call next week to go over this please?

Thank you for referring me to Help. However, according to Help that I had contacted yesterday before submit my question here, what I am asking about isn't possible in Spreadsheet Sync. Is that really the case? No one seems to know for sure.
Thanks for your proactive response and effort in calling our support team, Jo-ann. I have an overview of how spreadsheet syncing manages your data in QuickBooks Online that will provide further insights regarding your concern.
When running reports with Spreadsheet Sync, please know that the available filters can vary significantly depending on the type of report you are generating. Therefore, not all filters will be available for every report.
To better assist you in achieving your goal, I suggest contacting our dedicated QuickBooks Online support team for Spreadsheet Sync. They possess the tools to help you manage your consolidated Profit and Loss report. To reach them, log in to Spreadsheet Sync, then go to the Help section and select Contact Us.
Alternatively, you can manually generate monthly consolidated profit and loss reports for each company by exporting them to an Excel file. After saving, you can modify the data as needed, allowing for greater flexibility in your data analysis.
Here's how:
You can read this article about exporting data in QuickBooks Online: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I will provide resources that offer detailed guidance on customizing your reports, allowing you to tailor them to your specific needs and preferences:
The Community forum is here to help you customize your reports and improve usability for your specific needs. If you have any further questions or need assistance, you are still welcome to write it down. Take care.
I am not looking to continue to have to modify data manually.
I see that manually consolidating the Profit and Loss (P&L) reports by month for your three companies isn't what you want, Jo-ann.
Please know that the only way to achieve your goal is by exporting the generated P&L reports of your three companies to Excel and manually modifying and consolidating the data, as my colleague mentioned.
Also, you can check the details of this article if you want to learn how to save the customization of your report: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.
Don't hesitate to express any questions or suggestions here, Jo-ann, about modifying and consolidating reports. We'll be happy to assist you as soon as possible. Have a good day.
Thanks for your message.
