When the product "Amazon taxes" is displayed in the QBO Sales by Store Detail report, the suffix (deleted-1) is generated

Search for Amazon taxes in QBO's Product/Service, as shown in the figure without suffix. When viewed in the Sales by Store Detail report, the Amazon taxes name for many Amazon orders shows Amazon taxes (deleted-1).

I appreciate the screenshot you've provided, Richardzheng.

Let me assist you in removing the deleted in your Product and Services when running a Sales by Product and Service Detail report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Firstly, the reason your product or service's full name is showing as deleted might be that you accidentally made your non-inventory item inactive, such as the Amazon taxes on your Products and Services.

Consider making it active so it will not show as deleted when you run a Sales by Store Detail or Sales by Products/Services Detail. Let me guide you through the process.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Products and services
    Capture 1.JPG

  2. Click the funnel icon.
    Capture 2.JPG

  3. Select either All (shows both inactive and active items) or Inactive (shows only the inactive items) under Status.
  4. Hit Apply.
    Capture 3.JPG

When the product "Amazon taxes" is displayed in the QBO Sales by Store Detail report, the suffix (deleted-1) is generated

Perfectly understood, thanks for your detailed operation instructions and screenshots.

As you suggested, I made active Amazon taxes in Products and Services.

Then go back to the Sales by Store Detail report to check, there is no delete suffix.

However, I have another question. At this time, when I search for Amazon taxes in Products and Services, three results will come up.

I want to know if this is normal. Will there be any impact on future sales orders?

Best regards.

Thank you.

Let me provide you with some details on this, Richard.

I can only think of one scenario when you said that three Amazon taxes are showing on your Product and Services page. It's possible, that those that are appearing are duplicate items. If you do not use them, this won't have an impact on future sales orders. You'll want to make them inactive.

If you want to use them in future transactions, you don't have to remove them. However, I still suggest reaching out to your accountant so they can guide you on when you can make an item inactive or not and how it affects your transactions.

Furthermore, QuickBooks offers several reports that you can use to run the different aspects of your business. You'll only have to customize to ensure you'll get the right data. I've added this article for more details: Customize Reports in QuickBooks Online.
