Why am I missing the top toolbar that shows: File, edit, view, lists, favorites, accountant,company, etc. I'm trying to use the Prepare letters with envelopes feature

I'm here to help you with modifying the view of your icon bar in QuickBooks.

The top icon bar or toolbar is available in QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online Desktop App. If you access QuickBooks Online using a web browser, the tabs are available on the left side of the page.

On the other hand, if you're using QuickBooks Desktop, the toolbar or icon bar is missing if it's hidden or the view is changed to the left icon bar. To isolate the issue, you can update it through the View menu. I'm here to guide you with the process. 

1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop file.
2. Go to the View menu.
3. Click on Top Icon Bar.

From there, the menus will be available at the upper part of your QuickBooks homepage.
