Why aren't my payroll check numbers not showing up on my reconciliation report ?

Hello there, @kathy5775.

I'll ensure to help you show the payroll check numbers in the reconciliation report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, the check numbers should be visible in the Ref. no. from your reconciliation page and the reconciliation report. See the screenshot below for visual reference:

Since the payroll check numbers don't show up on your end, you'll need to review the check transaction if you've set up a check number.

Once verified that there's a check number added to the transaction. Then, the case may be due to a browser cache-related issue. Your browser saves files to load websites faster on your next visit. But over time, it'll get outdated, which can cause errors in some features and performance issues using the program. Let's perform the basic browser troubleshooting steps to fix it.

First, you'll want to restart your browser. Then, try opening your account in a private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If it fixes the issues, go back to the regular browser and clear your browser's cache. Otherwise, you can use another supported browser.

Furthermore, I'm attaching this article if you want to export the reconciliation report: View, print, or export a reconciliation report.
