Renewal of Enhanced Payroll overlapping with purchase of upgrade

I just got a notice that my Enhanced Payroll subscription for my QB Pro Desktop 2016 will be renewed automatically end of March.

However, I have just received notice that Intuit will discontinue support for the 2016 products, so I have purchased (but not yet received) QB 2019. with Enhanced Payroll added.

I am now concerned that I will wind up paying double for a subscription that I actually use for only one employee for one business. Not cost effective.

How do I avoid this happening???

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'll be happy to walk you through making sure you aren't double charged.

 

In order to avoid duplicate charges, you can cancel your Enhanced Payroll service.

 

Here are the steps to cancel: 

  1. Go to Employees menu > My Payroll Service > Account/Billing Info.
  2. Sign in using your Intuit Account login.  The Account Maintenance page will open.
  3. In the Sevice Information section, click the Cancel link.
  4. Proceed with the process to cancel your payroll service.

After you have completed this, make sure to contact support with to get help with setting up your next product key for Payroll on your 2019 Desktop product.
