The feature to generate and save customized reports is available in QuickBooks Online regardless of your subscription, sothreasr. I'll give you some insights and workarounds that we can perform to resolve your concern below.

Before we begin, it's important to take note that QuickBooks offers different user roles and access permissions to specific tasks and data within QBO. To verify if you have the rights to customized reports, you can click on the Gear icon, and then select Manage users to check the role that you have.

Once you have confirmed that you have all the access, we can then perform some basic troubleshooting steps to bypass this browser issue you're experiencing right now.

You can follow the steps provided below:

To begin, sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in an incognito window. It will prevent the browser history from being saved.

Please refer to the following keyboard shortcut keys based on your browser type:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If operating in a private browsing session resolves the issue, it's advisable to clear your browser's cache to facilitate a reboot. This procedure is also applicable in other supported and up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache helps in eliminating stored cache and cookies that are causing operational issues.

Once finished, you can read this page to learn how to memorize your reports in QBO: Save a customized report in QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, here's an article you can refer to if you want to export and print your reports in QBO: Manage your reports.

Your satisfaction is important to us, sothreasr. Please know that you can always revisit this thread if you've further questions with regard to customizing your reports in QBO. We're always here to help.

Turns out - there is a difference of reporting capability depending on the level of QB Online that you have - the more you pay the more robust the reporting. I downgraded to the most basic level - ditching Payroll - and the reporting capabilities that remain are primitive and constraining - the necessity of redoing the month-end reports is undeniable and very disappointing.
